Spreading Mahatma Gandhi’s message of truth, nonviolence, and love — and honoring those who carried it forward.
Our Story
The Gandhi Memorial Society (GMS) was established on December 17, 2017, to spread Mahatma Gandhi’s message of truth, nonviolence, and love to the world. It began not as an institution, but as a conviction — that these ideas were as urgent in Ohio as they had been in India nearly a century earlier.
In doing so, the Society also seeks to illuminate the lives and teachings of leaders such as Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, and others who followed Gandhi’s path — showing that his message is not confined to one country or one era, but lives on wherever people choose truth over falsehood, and love over hatred.
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
